I started work on this exhibition in 2018. I was then interrupted by the pandemic, so it was only completed in the spring of 2023. I hiked, rafted and canoed to make the 16 paintings at selected sites along the river’s 780-mile journey from its headwaters in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming to its confluence with the Colorado River in Utah. The exhibition has now opened at The Whitney Western Art Museum, Buffalo Bill Center of the West, Cody, Wyoming.

I will be giving an illustrated talk at the Museum on Saturday 15th July at 10 am and there will be an informal reception afterwards. I hope to see you there!

After the showing in Cody The Foster Museum has arranged for the exhibition to tour to four other US museums.
