Retrospective

The Frye Art Museum in Seattle organised a retrospective exhibition of Tony Foster's work entitled "World Views". This comprised about ninety paintings selected from his seven major projects to 1998. These were gathered together from private and public collections in the UK and USA. It was curated by Duncan Robinson, the Director of the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. (He was formerly Director of the Center for British Art, Yale University, which was the first gallery in America to host an exhibition of Tony's work.)

The exhibition opened in September, and was supported with an eighty-eight page catalogue available from Amazon.
