My aim has been to produce an art book that, no matter where you dip into it, you will find something compelling, extraordinary, intriguing, glorious, thought provoking, or funny.

Hence the beautifully designed mix of paintings,stories, photographs, excerpts from my diaries, details of logistics and working methods, essays by prominent art historians, scientists, explorers and writers.
