· Above Busterback Bridge looking to the Sawtooths · 17/19 July 2002 · a dreary solo hike from Smiley Creek – dusty trails, hot blacktop, bushwacking through willow thickets and bogs · painting as a thunderstorm gathers and finally hits with great ferocity, soaking me through in seconds · I shelter under the bridge until it passes over then return dejectedly to work ·
